FNH Meeting and Specialty Rooms

Policy:

Please note that there is a 72 hour (working day) turn around time for request confirmation. Please do not occupy a room without confirmation, as there may be a request ahead of yours that simply has not yet shown up on the booking page. If you wish to book and use the room in the same day, please make arrangements with the appropriate contact as listed below.

We do not accept bookings more than one year in advance.

Bookings require a valid CWL. Off campus user need to connect to the UBC VPN to access the booking page.

Vij’s Kitchen – FNH 130 (Food Teaching Laboratory)

– All users must have a UBC Card available for programming door access.
– 6 stations + 1 teaching station. 24 attendee maximum, plus 1-2 instructors.
– Reserved for FNH teaching and research. Priority given to LFS/FNH credit courses. All other activities are by special request.
– There is a fee for all UBC users. This includes courses, research, and faculty events.

For information necessary for final approval of booking requests, contact Louisa Ho louisa.ho@ubc.ca. After applying for access, card programming may take 7 business days.
FNH 135 (Sensory Preparation Laboratory)

– Reserved for FNH teaching and research use in conjunction with the FNH 140 Sensory Lab only. Food-safe use only.
FNH 140 (Sensory Laboratory)

– 2 rows of sensory booths (7 booths/row). Food-safe use in this room only. Chairs and tables must be returned to their original configuration after use.
– Reserved for FNH teaching and research related activity. All other activities are by special request and subject to the $250 operations deposit. Bookings for meetings can be cancelled with minimal notice if sensory booth use is required.

– Reserved for LFS teaching and research related activity.

– For non-LFS person/groups: Room rental fee of $80 for first hour. $160 for up to 4 hours, $240 for a day. Available during 8:30AM-4:30PM only. May book maximum 2 weeks in advance, ad hoc only. Contact fnh.admin@ubc.ca for details.
– Room not available for booking for non-UBC groups.
FNH 175 (Atrium)
