Faculty & Staff 2020 Tax Slips Now Available

UBC issues tax slips online as PDFs that are identical to the printed form and are accepted to by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) when filing your taxes.

T4 tax slips (and T4As, where applicable) for the 2020 tax year are now available through the Workday system.

Paper copies of T4s will be mailed to employees that left UBC between January 1, 2020 and October 31, 2020. Employees that left the university between November 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020 will be able to access their tax slips through Workday (please note that an active CWL ID and password are required).

How do I find my T4? (CWL-login required)

Tax slips from previous tax years can still be accessed through Peoplesoft.

2020/21 Year End Deadlines and Procedures

The University’s fiscal year-end of March 31, 2021 is fast approaching. Business Processes have changed with the launch of Workday. Therefore, we ask for your assistance to allow sufficient time for online steps to initiate, review and approve the transactions before the deadline for transactions to be included in this year’s financial results.

Supplier Accounts & Procurements:

Invoices must be approved by March 19, 2021 at 5:00PM in order to be included in March. It’s strongly recommended to submit invoices or ask suppliers to submit invoices as soon as possible to allow sufficient time for processing before the cutoff.
Details on supplier invoices processing is available at https://finance.ubc.ca/year-end/private/key-business-processes/private/supplier-accounts-procurement.

Expense Reports & VISA Reconciliations:

Expense reports, including VISA reconciliation must be approved by March 19, 2021 at 5:00PM in order to be included in March. If you have delegation assigned to finance team, please submit backup documents for expense report or VISA card purchases to the Finance Office by 4:30 pm on Friday, March 12, 2021 to allow sufficient time for processing steps to take place.

Should you require assistance, please feel free to contact Deborah Wang deborah.wang@ubc.ca or Vicky Zhang vicky.zhang@ubc.ca.
