The 2021 Summer (May – August, 2021) Course Schedule has been released online. To view, please make sure you select “2021 Summer” from the pull-down menu in the top right-hand corner.

If you are an instructor who submitted a course for inclusion in the 2021 Summer schedule, please check your course(s) to ensure all details are correct. If you notice errors, please email lfs.scheduling@ubc.ca to let us know so they can be corrected in a timely manner by their assigned TReps.

Registration for Summer Session will open later this month, the details of which can be found online here.

Workspace 2.0 End-of-Life

Faculty and staff who currently use Workspace 2.0 as a storage solution need to migrate all of their files off of the service and onto another UBC supported storage service before October 29, 2021. The file sharing service is end-of-life and will be decommissioned on October 29, 2021. Any remaining files stored on Workspace 2.0 after October 29, 2021 will be permanently inaccessible.

To ensure that data you have stored on this service is not lost, please migrate your files to the data storage solution appropriate to the content of the file being migrated as soon as possible.

Random Acts of Recognition

Congratulations to Random Acts of Recognition recipient:

Jerzy Zawistowski for providing a Masterclass on Food Regulations in Canada, including pop quizzes, to the DAE team. Interesting and informative, it provided the team a deeper understanding that will support them in their work with alumni and industry.

To nominate a faculty member, staff or graduate student that’s been doing an outstanding job or has gone above and beyond in some way, send an email to lfs.recognition@ubc.ca and tell us why this person should be recognized. We’ll send them a $6 Starbucks gift card and acknowledge their good work in LFS Today.
