LFS Mandatory Training
**NEW FEATURE**
A new feature has been made to our LFS Training Record Management System (TRMS). An API update has been introduced to our TRMS to automatically import training records from Canvas Catalog into our TRMS. This means that once a profile has been created in TRMS and the user is added to the appropriate area, the missing training records in TRMS will be imported from Canvas directly, saving user’s time to download these records and upload them manually to our TRMS.
Special Notes: Training that is not in the Canvas Catalog will require the user to continue to upload to TRMS. Some of these training include lab specific safety orientation, LFS General Guide, LFS Vehicle Guide, etc. Once you have obtained your training certificates, please visit the LFS Training Record Management System, login with your CWL and upload your training certificates.
To access the LFS Training Record Management System off campus, you must be connected via UBC VPN.
Please choose the categor(ies) that best describe your affiliation with LFS to find all the mandatory training you are required.

Volunteers in LFS
Although there is no mandatory training for volunteers in LFS it is highly suggested that they complete the mandatory trainings for the type of work they will be completed. Volunteers must be accompanied at all times by a supervisor with the appropriate safety training for the space they are using. A volunteer waiver must also be filled out and kept on record, additionally, it is also a good idea for the supervisor to purchase volunteer insurance ($4/year):
