LFS Today Apr 14, 2021

Are you ready to deliver your online exams?

If you have questions about the delivery of your exams, designing your questions, what software you should be using, or any other topic related to online exams, please contact it@landfood.ubc.ca to ask a question or book a consultation with the LFS Learning Centre.

Also, if you were planning to use Respondus LockDown Browser and Zoom together for online invigilation, this practice is not recommended due to a high volume of student complaints experiencing technical issues. Please contact it@landfood.ubc.ca to discuss alternatives.

Random Acts of Recognition

Congratulations to Random Acts of Recognition recipients:

Joel Barohn & Gerry Kasten who went above and beyond to facilitate FNH 341 to be a socially-distanced, in-person course. It would not have been the same if the students had to cook at home and only connect virtually. The whole class is very thankful for this course and for their work in teaching them how to cook.

To nominate a faculty member, staff or graduate student that’s been doing an outstanding job or has gone above and beyond in some way, send an email to lfs.recognition@ubc.ca and tell us why this person should be recognized. We’ll send them a $6 Starbucks gift card and acknowledge their good work in LFS Today.
