VPRI Town Halls: Impacts of COVID on Research/Scholarly Activities

The UBC Office of the VP, Research & Innovation (VPRI) has scheduled a series of virtual town halls to hear from UBC faculty members about the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on their research and scholarly activities and programs. The aim is to better understand how the university can help both internally and by working with appropriate external bodies, such as funding agencies.

The town halls are open to all UBC faculty members and are organized around Tri-agency areas as a way to hear from sections of our research community facing similar challenges. The town halls will run from April 27 to May 10.

Registration will be limited to 75 people for each session to facilitate more meaningful online dialogue. There are 6 sessions – two focusing on each Tri-agency area to bring together researchers with similar issues.

The remaining five dates are:

  • CIHR #2 May 10, 10:00–11:30 a.m.
  • SSHRC #1 April 28, 9:00–10:30 a.m.
