Aug. 31 – Canadian Mountain Assessment Call for Reviewers

The Canadian Mountain Assessment (CMA) provides a first-of-its-kind look at what we know, do not know, and need to know about Canada’s diverse and rapidly changing mountain systems. The assessment is based on insights from both Indigenous and Western academic knowledge systems, and represents a unique effort to enhance understanding of mountains through respectful inclusion of multiple bodies of knowledge.

We are calling on mountain researchers from Canada and abroad, Indigenous Peoples in Canada and other regions globally, and decision-makers with responsibilities pertinent to mountain areas in Canada to provide feedback on the CMA draft. The review period will take place from mid-September to the end of October, 2022.

We invite interested reviewers to complete the short survey below by August 31, 2022. We will contact eligible reviewers to provide further details and access to the draft document in mid September, 2022. https://forms.gle/zhDNFbTcc3M6G7uFA
