Welcome Jennifer Grenz!

We are happy to announce that Jennifer Grenz has accepted a joint position as Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Forest Resources Management, Faculty of Forestry (50%; home Faculty) and the Applied Biology Program, Faculty of Land and Food Systems (50%) starting January 17, 2022. Jennifer was a top candidate during our search in 2020 for an Indigenous Scholar in Land and Food Systems, and we are very pleased for this opportunity to have Jennifer join LFS in a joint position.

She brings to our faculty a deep knowledge of the local landscape (including our soils, plants and cultures) that will position her for success in her area of research. Jennifer is already well-known in our faculty, having worked as a Sessional Lecturer in our Applied Biology Program since 2019 and completing her PhD in Integrated Studies in Land and Food Systems under the supervision of Carol McAusland in 2020.

We welcome Jennifer to LFS in this new role and look forward to her contributions to research, teaching and community engagement.
