Tech Tip Tuesday: Providing students access to Canvas courses beyond the term dates

Canvas courses at UBC default to term-based start and end dates. However, instructors have the option to extend the end date of the course to allow course material access to their students beyond the dates set by default. This can be used to accommodate students who have deferred their final examinations. The steps to change the due date of the Canvas course have been listed in the documentation linked below.

Documentation: https://lc.landfood.ubc.ca/how-to-change-course-start-or-end-date-on-canvas/

Similarly, instructors can provide early access to the course materials by publishing the course and changing the start date.
