Random Acts of Recognition

Congratulations to Random Acts of Recognition recipient:

Wayne Tamagi who always come with a (calm) smile to help Faculty members who are in despair with computer related issues. No matter how severe the issues are, Wayne somehow gets things to work in no time.

To nominate a faculty member, staff or graduate student that’s been doing an outstanding job or has gone above and beyond in some way, send an email to lfs.recognition@ubc.ca and tell us why this person should be recognized. We’ll send them a $6 Starbucks gift card and acknowledge their good work in LFS Today.

Tech Tip Tuesday – Syncing MS Teams Files on OneDrive

You can sync your MS Teams files from your channels and chats to your OneDrive account to have them accessible on your device. To sync, open MS Teams and navigate to a channel or a chat. Select “Files” from your pinned tabs. Click on the “Sync” button on the Action Bar. MS Teams will start the syncing process by connecting to your OneDrive desktop sync client. This should create a new folder under the path C:\Users\<user_profile>\UBC and is synced with OneDrive.
