LFS LC Lunch & Learn Sessions – Zoom Pro-Tips with the Learning Centre Team
The LFS LC Lunch and Learn Office Hours this week is a deep dive into Zoom. Zoom is updating its software on a weekly basis. We’ll cover some of Zoom’s specialized tools, including annotation, user roles, breakout rooms, polling and general pro-tips. This session will showcase approaches for live lectures, office hours, registered workshops, recorded lectures via Canvas, and any other applications that you may request. If time permits, we will work with breakout rooms. Come for 10 minutes or the whole session. Bring your stories and experiences and share your difficulties.

Join us this Friday, September 25 at noon.

Random Acts of Recognition

Congratulations to Random Acts of Recognition recipient:
Lindsay Cuff, Assistant Professor of Teaching (cross-appointed with Forestry), for her incredible work with LFS 150. In a very short period of time, Lindsay has redesigned LFS 150, created and shared very useful teaching materials, and fostered the development of a vibrant and supportive community of instructors teaching the course. Her enthusiasm and responsiveness are very greatly appreciated!

To nominate a faculty member, staff or graduate student that’s been doing an outstanding job or has gone above and beyond in some way, send an email to lfs.recognition@ubc.ca and tell us why this person should be recognized. We’ll send them a $6 Starbucks gift card and acknowledge their good work in LFS Today.
